As local chapter of Soldier Songs & Voices, The Bugle Boy Foundation invites Veterans (anyone who served in any branch of the military at any time, including Coast Guard and Reserves) and active duty military personnel for FREE Guitar/Songwriting workshops led by professional musicians who appreciate your service to our country. All levels from beginners to experienced musicians are welcome to gather and share their music in a relaxed and informal environment that encourages free musical expression and healing experiences. Loaner guitars are available.
If you've always wanted to learn to play guitar or perhaps have something written that you need help setting to music, our guest instructors and core group members will be glad to help. The workshop serves as a means of creative expression.
Our monthly workshops are offered at 1051 N. Jefferson St. (Hwy 77) La Grange, Texas 78945 and are hosted by professional singer-songwriters such as Terri Hendrix, Lloyd Maines, Michael O'Connor & Susan Gibson and other visiting artists.A big THANK YOU to Second Chance Emporium (Fayette Resale, Inc.), Texas Commission on the Arts and the National Edowment on the Arts. for partial assistance with funding this program during 2015-2016!
